If your kids love forest animals then they’ll have a lot of fun with these forest animals kindergarten worksheets. Learning math can get tedious, so it’s nice to change things up with a new theme so I like to create themed worksheets for my kids for a nice change of pace.
If you’re learning about forest animals, this is a great way to tie in math into your animal studies and keep things fun. These math worksheets include 2 pages of number sense, addition, subtraction, and skip counting along with 3 puzzles.
While I do create a lot of worksheets, I do believe in the importance of hands on learning and that worksheets alone, can’t teach your child everything. Although both of kids love worksheets, they also love using manipulatives, projects and big messes. It’s important to strike a balance with the different types of activities that you set up for your child.
My daughter, who’s 3, likes to try these worksheets as well, she likes to put counters on top of the images and count out the counters instead of the pictures. She’s still learning her numbers so she gives me an oral answer, she these worksheets are fun because she feels as though she’s doing work like her older brothers.
Be sure to print out the puzzles onto cardstock so they’re not so floppy and easier to handle for your child.
